“This cabin is as lovely as the photos and description detail. It actually feels bigger than the pics and was an ideal stay for my husband and I with our 2.5 year old daughter over Christmas. Cornelius and Mette decorated the lodge festively for us which was lovely, and were both very welcoming and warm to meet. The location is perfect for walks right on your doorstep as well as short drives to beautiful waterfalls and nearby lochs. The beds are SO comfy and it’s wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a lovely stay and we hope to come again!”
We spoke to Adrian our local Forestry commissioner and informed us that at this time of year food is abundant and the little Red Devils are hiding high up in the tree canopy and dont feel the need to venture to the food baskets to nab our nuts.

February Salmon fishing season is here and we are offering 20% discount on accommodation in our cabins. We have fishing and boating rights direct from the banks of Ardoch Lodge to the river Balvaig or you can take advantage of Stirling councils promotion of free fishing on the iconic River Teith in Callander on the 1st of February.

Ardoch Lodge host the Ronde CC from Edinburgh for a weekend of winter biking, food and stunning scenery. Friday evening everyone arrived to homemade chilli and it was early to bed with a worrying layer of snow on the ground. Waking up to a beautiful winter wonderland and a delicious cooked breakfast we set out for a challenging ride in Aberfoyle, but all was well and it was back to Ardoch Lodge to home made cakes from Violette. Our local pub, The White Stag did us proud for dinner with a four course delicious meal which went down a treat, and set us up nicely for our Sunday ride. It was better conditions for Sunday with even a bit of sun to see us round Loch Venacher, all in all a very successful weekend.
